Check out the peaceful flatlands of Delaware. The low lying plain will put any trucker at ease during long nights of mile markers, merging highways and construction detours.

From the rolling hills of the Piedmont Plateau to the 30,000 acres of swampland in the south, Delaware has simple and eloquent scenery that can be seen from every angle of the windshield. Traveling along the eastern shorelines, you’ll surely discover a number of various bays, tidal creeks and marshes. Not all of Delaware is wet and swampy, the Delmarva Peninsula has flatlands and hills waiting to guide your rig.

Drive through downtown Wilmington to lift your ball cap to Caesar Rodney’s statue - Delaware’s most cherished patriot. Feeling hungry? Make sure the world’s largest frying pan doesn’t end up in your blind spot. Located in Georgetown, Delaware, an estimated 100 tons of chicken were cooked on the massive pan before it was retired in 1987. Don’t forget to drive through Lewes to toss a wishing penny in the Fountain of Youth before your journey takes you out of town.
